Important Actions Before a Factory Reset

WhatsApp backup chat
The first piece of advice is to make a backup of the current chats on the WhatsApp or other messaging apps. You use this technique so that you can return to Chat exactly as before when you log in on a new cellphone in the future. For instance, you can adhere to the steps for backing up WhatsApp chats below.
- Open the WhatsApp program first. You then access the “Settings” menu.
- Choose “Chatting,” then “Suggest Chat.”
- Finally, simply tap “Backup.”
- Finished.
Backup phone contacts and SMS (Messages)
You should backup your Android’s SMS and phone contacts in addition to Chat. Phone Contacts are, in my opinion, the most crucial. I believe it is simpler for phone contacts because all contacts only need to be transferred to the SIM Card. Additionally, you can use the AppBackup program for faster backup. Backup of Applications
You can actually download Android applications directly from the Google Play Store, but if you have a large number of apps, it will obviously take a while for you to download them all. Try to backup using the Titanium Backup program as a result. However, your Android must have root access in order to use the Titanium Backup app.
Backup important media files, including images, videos, music, and others.
In addition to backing up apps, you should also backup important media files like photos, videos, music, and others. You can transfer those files directly to your computer or laptop to back them up. In addition to computers, you can back up your data using online cloud storage services like Google Drive, Mediafire, Dropbox, and others.
Make a copy of crucial files
Do not forget to backup other important files, such as documents or other files, in addition to media files. Like before, you can transfer these crucial files to a computer, flash drive, or online cloud storage.
Take your SD Card out.
The final suggestion is to remove your Android SD Card after trying Backup. It won’t be an issue if you don’t release, but it also makes no difference whether you do. This can be handled to prevent data loss or SD Card formatting.
However, you must re-insert the SD Card if you intend to perform flashing or a Custom ROM via the SD Card in the future.
